Mark F. Reinking, PT, PhD, SCS, ATC, is Dean and Professor of the School of Physical Therapy at Regis University, Denver. He is a licensed physical therapist and a certified athletic trainer, and was certified in 1996 as a clinical specialist in sports physical therapy, recertifying in 2009 and 2016. Dr. Reinking’s primary area of practice is in athletic rehabilitation and his research has focused on risk factors for lower extremity overuse injuries. He has over twenty peer-reviewed publications and has been invited to present at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Reinking is the recipient of several teaching awards, including the 2012 APTA Baethke-Carlin Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching and the 2014 Lifetime Excellence in Education Award from the Sports Section of the APTA. In 2020, Dr. Reinking was elected as president of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy, the organization which represents the physical therapist education programs in the United States.
